NZFAP and NZFAP Plus Standard updates

NZFAP v9 and NZFAP Plus v7 have been released and will come into effect on 1 October 2026.

These updated standards follow the more significant programme changes introduced in 2025 and contain a small number of minor amendments aimed at improving clarity, reducing unnecessary administration, and supporting a more efficient certification process.

There are no new requirements for farmers. The updates have been made to streamline aspects of the standards, improve consistency between requirements and make them easier to interpret and apply during day-to-day operations.

All amendments are clearly identified within the standards as “(Amended)” to help identify what has changed since the previous version.
