It’s World Iron Awareness Week which is looking at who’s at risk of going short on dietary iron, what the implications of this are, and the dietary choices to optimise iron levels.

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies, affecting 30% of the world's population. It is particularly common among women and children, including in New Zealand.

We know you'll be aware of the importance of iron, but you may like to see what's being shared this week around the world about the merits of iron.
