ANZCO Foods CEO Update - August 2025

Posted on Friday, 15 August 2025 under Latest Edition, CEO Updates,

To celebrate the New Zealand Food Network’s fifth birthday, ANZCO Foods recently donated five tonnes of premium beef mince – enough for 40,000 meals – to help Kiwi families in need. Protein is one of the most sought-after items for foodbanks, and this is being distributed through food hubs across the country. Since partnering with NZFN in 2020, we’ve donated almost 50 tonnes of food, supporting the wellbeing of our communities with quality nutrition.

From supporting communities in need to backing the next generation of industry talent, ANZCO’s commitment goes beyond producing quality beef and lamb. It was great to see the industry’s future talent shine at the National Butchery Awards yesterday, where ANZCO Foods once again sponsored the Butcher Apprentice of the Year title. Congratulations to this year’s winner, Alex Pellow of New World Mt Maunganui, and to Anton Rameka of New World Mangawhai, who took out the Pact Packaging Young Butcher of the Year after winning the apprentice title last year. Both impressed judges with their skill, creativity, and composure under pressure. The awards continue to be an important platform for emerging butchers to showcase their abilities and gain national recognition, and we’re proud to support the development of the next generation in our industry.
