Raised in Kagoshima and the surrounding mineral-rich prefectures, ITO WAGYU cattle are nurtured with care amongst the most renowned wagyu-producing areas in the world. Here, centuries-old farming techniques are paired with unwavering commitment to excellence, resulting in beef that is the epitome of tradition, luxury and authenticity.

Feeding
Our farmers tailor what they feed to each wagyu animal to optimise individual growth and satisfaction at each stage of life. A combination of milk, rice straw and cured hay are the cornerstone elements of the diet that produces our gold standard in beef.
In our bespoke system, our farmers take the time to cater to the needs of each animal. What starts with handfeeding as a calf, develops into a daily ritual of care and attention. Our farmers spend so much time with their animals, that they understand individual animals deeply.
Health control
Traditional care techniques are combined with modern innovations, including climate-controlled barn environments, to support optimal cattle health. These advanced, carefully managed conditions help minimise stress, promote wellbeing, and ensure the consistent quality ITO WAGYU is known for.
