Whanganui Rugby mascot

ANZCO Foods is once again sponsoring the Whanganui Rugby Mascot, Barrie the Butcher, for this year’s Heartland Championship.

Barrie has been the mascot of the Whanganui Rugby team for many years. With his unique appearance and larger-than-life personality, Barrie is popular amongst the crowds.

The Marton community, which is home to many of our employees from ANZCO Foods Manawatū and ANZCO Foods Rangitīkei, sits at the heart of the Whanganui rugby region. Supporting Barrie and the team is one of the ways we back a sport and community local to many of our people.
