Visit by IYH Directors

This week we were privileged to host Directors from our shareholder, Itoham Yonekyu Holdings (IYH), in New Zealand. 

IYH Independent Directors Mikiko Morimoto, Yasuko Nishimura and Hiroshi Matsumura travelled with ANZCO Foods Directors Natsuki Yoshii and Ken Harada, and IYH Director and Chief Financial Officer Katsumi Nozawa.

Ken joined ANZCO Foods Chairman Jay Horiuchi and I on visits to Kōkiri and Canterbury on Monday. Meetings followed on Tuesday at the Corporate Office with ANZCO’s Independent Directors Andy Macfarlane, Rachel Taulelei, and Mike Petersen alongside ANZCO Foods management. On Wednesday and Thursday the group visited Canterbury, the Five Star Beef feedlot, and Green Island.

The visit provided our IYH Independent Directors with an invaluable opportunity to experience ANZCO’s operations firsthand. Their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive – they were impressed by our business activities, people, and the warm welcome extended in New Zealand.

This was an important visit for strengthening understanding of both our business and the New Zealand operating environment, and I believe they’ve left with a good understanding of ANZCO and the scale of our activities. My thanks to everyone that helped make it a success.
