Ruralco Longbeach Coastal Challenge

Vicky Sibley and Rachel Russell entered the 12km walk at the recent Ruralco Longbeach Coastal Challenge. Vicky took out first place for the women’s event, and Rachel was close behind in fifth place.

The Longbeach Coastal Challenge is a multi-sport event for all ages. It has options for mountain biking, running, and walking, and a duathlon is a new addition to the race options. The event is held on the historic Longbeach Estate and offers participants the rare chance to enjoy a stunning part of the Mid Canterbury coastline.

ANZCO Foods Canterbury is a silver sponsor of the Challenge. The site has supported the race since it began in 2007, providing product and the barbeques for the popular post-race burgers for competitors. Rachel and Vicky were the winners of Canterbury’s giveaway for free entries.
