Meet Paul Low

Leading Hand at Green Island

Paul is the Leading Hand in the cutting room at ANZCO Foods Green Island.

He’s been part of the ANZCO team for more than 19 years, starting out in the cutting room before moving into his current role as Leading Hand. He looks after the morning meetings - updating the team on any ingredient changes, sharing health and safety information, and keeping everyone on the same page. For the rest of the day, he’s kept busy checking paperwork, scanning premixes and final products, and helping solve any issues the team might come across.

Before joining ANZCO, Paul worked for Alliance. He’s been pleasantly surprised by how much better Angel Bay patties are compared with others in the market - he’s tried the alternatives, but they don't even come close.

Outside of work, Paul brews beer. He has a small setup, producing about 23 litres at a time. When he first started out he entered competitions, and he’s also dabbled in making spirits. When he’s not brewing, he enjoys getting into the gym and playing touch rugby. After a busy day, he’ll often go for a run to unwind, usually heading up Jacob’s Ladder - then it’s home for a nana nap!
