Meet Michelle Johns
Boning Room Packer at Manawatū
Michelle is a Packer at Manawatū. She'll rotate to different tasks about four times each day - sometimes she's on wrapping, and some days it's bulk packing, or shanks, so she know how to do a lot of different tasks. Sometimes during Manawatū's shutdowns she'll also go help at Rangitīkei and Eltham.She's left ANZCO and returned a few times to raising children or taking on other job. In her most recent break from ANZCO, she taught at her son's preschool. She was taking a break from work to raise her son, and she made friends with his teachers so they suggested she join the team - and she loved it!
Now her son's at school she's come back to ANZCO, and she says it's great to be back. She finds it easy to fit in and feel like you're part of a family - ANZCO people always stop and say hi when she's out and about in public, even when she was teaching at the preschool. She loves how inclusive it is, and that she gets to interact and chat with a lot of people.
Outside of work, she keeps busy by playing with her son. She'll play Lego and games, and read to him. After a busy day at work she'll watch TV and read, or she'll do some home renovations.
