Congratulations Maddi

A huge congratulations and best of luck to Maddi Robinson, Sales and Marketing Intern, who’s been selected to represent New Zealand in women’s rugby as part of the Black Ferns XV. 

Maddi flew out to Cape Town last Sunday after receiving the exciting news just a week earlier, that she’d made the travelling squad. She’ll be taking the field in two matches against the South African women’s rugby team. 

Her rugby journey began in the small town of Seddon, playing for the Under 10 and Under 11 teams. She played in high school and university to keep fit and make friends and ended up earning a place on the Canterbury development team. She went on to play in the prestigious Farah Palmer Cup, the main women’s rugby championship in New Zealand, and got a contract with the Blues team. 

After an injury that sidelined her for eight months, Maddi played her first game back in the Super Rugby final and has continued to play at a high level since. She’s made the Black Ferns XV team alongside current Black Ferns and other skilled players from around New Zealand.

The Black Ferns XV v South Africa games will be held on:
