Canterbury originals celebrate 30 years

More than 30 Canterbury Meat Packers (CMP) original employees celebrated their 30-year long service milestone last weekend with a get-together at Hotel Ashburton, hosted by ANZCO Foods Canterbury and the site union. They celebrated with many stories, laughs and reminiscing.

The site’s first lamb processing season was December 1994 employing 340 people - more than 30 of whom are still with ANZCO Foods today. The beef processing site opened the following year employing a further 100 people.

Reaching a 30-year milestone is an exceptional achievement and speaks volumes for the calibre of our people and their dedication and commitment to the job, and the long-standing work culture built by the site’s original employees.

Congratulations to Basil, Richard, Peter, Samisoni, Tara, David, Andrew, Dion, Brenda, Darren, Craig, Debra, Hans, Ross, Richard, Chris, Peter, David, Cinamon, James, Matthew, Glen, Wendy, Lindsay, Darrell, Russell, Mark, Bryce, Susan, Richard, Ian, Jeremy, Brian, and Charlotte.
