
ANZCO Foods Marlborough’s boning room upgrade

During the site’s shutdown period, the boning room is undergoing a refit as part of a planned upgrade. The redesigned layout will improve workflow, making it easier for employees to rotate between tasks and move through the space safely and efficiently. Bottlenecks where product previously built up will be eliminated, helping streamline processing and packing.
Several improvements have also been made to address potential audit risks. These include installing safety rails throughout the department and changes that reduce manual lifting.
The new layout will enable the site to capture more bone material for the Chinese market – an opportunity that supports operational efficiency and value recovery.
