ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice of the Year

Entries to the 2026 ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice competition are open.

The event is open to anyone currently enrolled in a butchery apprenticeship at any stage of their studies, including those who graduate between 13 February and 13 August 2026. It’s free to enter the competition.

The winner receives an all-expenses-paid trip to the World Butchers’ Challenge in Australia in 2028, a trophy, a Victory knives set, and the opportunity to be selected into the next ANZCO Foods Young Butchers of NZ team, that represent New Zealand in the World Butchers’ Challenge.
