25 years of Aleph partnership

Aleph, a chain of Japanese restaurants, and ANZCO are celebrating 25 years in partnership this year.
A group from Aleph and ANZCO Foods Japan, including Aleph CEO Dai Shoji, visited New Zealand farms this week and thanked producers and ANZCO employees for their hard work.
The Aleph programme focuses on sustainability and traceability. After discussions between Aleph and ANZCO began in 1998, the partnership was formalised in 2001, and the first shipment of natural beef was sent later that year.
Since then, the programme has grown and we now process around 8,000 cattle annually for Aleph. As one of Japan’s most recognised family-style dining chain restaurants, Aleph serves the beef in its 352 restaurants and has ambitious growth plans, targeting 400 restaurants by 2030.
