ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice competition

The annual ANZCO Foods Butcher Apprentice regional finals are underway, showcasing some of New Zealand’s most promising up-and-coming butchery talent.
Congratulations to Lily Manson, who claimed the Lower South Island title, and Ashley Maguire, who took out the Upper South Island competition earlier this month. Both apprentices have secured their place in the Grand Final in Auckland this August.
The ANZCO Foods Sales team was on hand at the Christchurch event with the Angel Bay burger trailer, serving burgers to competitors, judges, supporters and industry guests. The burgers proved to be a popular addition to the day.
The regional finals continue this month in Waikato and Auckland, before finishing with the Wellington final in early July. We wish all competitors the very best for the remaining events and look forward to seeing the finalists compete for the national title.
