ANZCO farmers visit Japan

ANZCO’s Livestock Quality Assurance team recently hosted more than 20 farmers on a tour of Japan through the Farm-to-Farm Tours programme.

Several spots on the tour were won by farmers attending last year’s ‘Meat, Greet and Eat’ farmer events, while the remaining places were taken up and self-funded by ANZCO farmer-suppliers keen to take part in this unique experience.

During the trip, the group visited restaurants and supermarkets selling ANZCO Foods beef and lamb, toured Japanese farming operations, and experienced some of Japan’s most iconic attractions, including Shibuya Crossing and ANZCO Foods’ Wakanui Restaurant beside Tokyo Tower.

The tour provided farmers with a valuable opportunity to see first-hand where their products end up, gain a deeper understanding of Japanese consumers, and learn more about local farming practices and production systems.

A huge thank you to ANZCO’s Livestock Quality Assurance team, who organised the tour in partnership with Farm-to-Farm Tours. Their planning and coordination helped make the experience both informative and memorable for everyone involved.
