Contractor management | May and June health and safety focus week three

ANZCO Foods uses the Permit to Work process to ensure all high-risk activities have been well-thought-out and planned.

The person who’s responsible for the work activity or party on an ANZCO Foods site fills out a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with information about their tasks.

A JSA can be completed with the ANZCO employee who manages the relationship, or given to them after it’s filled out.

The person who completed the Job Safety Analysis will review the information with the ANZCO contract manager and agree on any required permits.

When a permit is issued, it’s the responsibility of the permit receiver to put in place all required safety control measures and make sure the task is completed according to the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

Once all the documents are complete, the contractor can start work.

Safety conversation starters:

  • Do you have a JSA?
  • Does this job require a permit?
