All contractors who come onsite need to be inducted, all their equipment needs to be tested and tagged, and they must be qualified for the work they’ve been engaged to do. Contractors also need to report to their ANZCO representative before they start work.
If contractors bring subcontractors on site, they are responsible for making sure subcontractors are competent, trained, and have had a health and safety induction. Subcontractors can’t sign off on permits, but they can be part of the permit work party.
