Vereniki celebrates 50 games for Taranaki

Vereniki Tikoisolomone, who works in the further processing department at ANZCO Foods Eltham, recently celebrated his 50th game for the Taranaki NPC rugby team.

The milestone was recognised at Taranaki’s final home game, where Vereniki was acknowledged in front of friends and family, including his supervisor and ANZCO ‘mum’, Dianne Hughes.

The achievement comes in a milestone year for the competition itself, with the National Provincial Championship (NPC) celebrating its 50th year in 2026.

Vereniki plays for the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls, whose squad this season also includes All Blacks Beauden Barrett, Jordie Barrett, Scott Barrett, Josh Lord and Tupou Vaa’i.

Congratulations to Vereniki on reaching this impressive milestone.
