Ronda’s Daffodil Day shave

Ronda Wilson of ANZCO Foods Eltham made a bold change on Daffodil Day, shaving her head to raise funds for cancer research and honour the people in her life who have been affected by cancer.

Ronda’s colleague Alex Rump, Livestock Quality Assurance and Payments Administrator at Eltham and a cancer survivor herself, had the honour of doing the shaving. Eltham Red Shift Production Manager, Mike Nicholas, also shaved his head, with Wiki Cribb and Chris Hodgson from ANZCO Foods Rangitīkei making the trip to support them.

Ronda is grateful for everyone’s support and says it made the shave worth it. She not only reached her fundraising goal, but surpassed it, raising more than $2,100.

The money raised will support the Cancer Society’s work including vital patient support services, lifesaving cancer research, and health promotion and education programmes.
