Ocean Beef ambassador Chef Eduardo Vargas crowned inaugural Grand Champion

Shanghai-based Peruvian chef Eduardo Vargas has been crowned the inaugural Grand Champion of Dragon TV’s 2026 Shanghai Bites Super Championship, a cooking competition featuring more than 80 chefs selected from 800 applicants.
Eduardo, who was hosted by ANZCO Foods in New Zealand in 2025 and has been using Ocean Beef for nearly two years, featured slow-cooked Ocean Beef ribs among his winning dishes. The dish is now included on special menus at his Shanghai restaurants, COLCA and Morena by AZUL.
His success reinforces the calibre of chefs ANZCO Foods is partnering with in Shanghai as the marketing team continues to drive its foodservice strategy, securing Ocean Beef and Maimoa brand presence on premium restaurant menus.
