Meet Maveena Pereira
Quality Assurance Auditor at Eltham
Maveena has worked at ANZCO Foods Eltham for eleven months as a Quality Assurance Auditor, helping make sure food safety and compliance standards are met across the site.
Her role involves carrying out audits, keeping compliance records up to date, and managing reports relating to non-conformances and micro reports. She also supports external auditors when they come on-site, works with processing teams across site to verify processes, and reports any non-conformances back to team leaders.
Before joining ANZCO Foods, Maveena worked in quality assurance at Kraft Heinz in Christchurch for six months. She moved to Taranaki after getting her current role at ANZCO Foods, and says adjusting from Christchurch to a smaller town was a big change at first - but she enjoys the quieter lifestyle and being closer to nature and the mountains.
One of the things that surprised her most about working at ANZCO Foods was the positive work environment. She appreciates the support she gets, and the good work-life balance.
Outside work, Maveena enjoys travelling. She got married at the end of last year, and travelled back to India to celebrate with family and friends. She and her husband went to to Vietnam for their honeymoon, visiting Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
After a busy day she'll unwind by turning on Netflix and watching a good series.
