ANZCO announces potential purchase of Greenlea

Today ANZCO Foods and Greenlea Group announced we’ve entered into an agreement for ANZCO to purchase 100% of Greenlea Group Limited and combine the best of both businesses.

The proposed transaction is subject to customary conditions including Commerce Commission and Overseas Investment Office approval.

If approved, we intend to operate Greenlea as a standalone business to ensure a successful transition to ANZCO ownership. The Greenlea brand will remain, existing ways of working will continue, and the Greenlea Foundation will carry on its important community work.

This proposed transaction is about securing the long-term future of both companies. It brings together the best of two established New Zealand red meat businesses with highly complementary strengths – North and South island operations, shared values, and a strong commitment to staff, farmers, customers, and communities.
